How do I rename the article?

The building changed ownership in 2020 and is no longer known as PNC Plaza but as 500 West Jefferson or 500W. Iheartbairdlou (talk) 21:09, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

PNC Plaza → 500W

– Hello, just wanted to make a thread asking to move/change the name of the title PNC Plaza to 500W. After the building was brought by Someraroad, the name of the building changed to 500W. It gets confusing for tenants searching up 500W and seeing it is still PNC Plaza. I attached some article showcasing the change in name. Let me know if you need anything else, thanks. Support name change but undecided on the exact name. From what I see in both the articles, it is either referred to as "500 West Jefferson" or "500 W Jefferson" or "500 West" (this one from ref 6 of article) but none call it "500W". Sources exist for the name change and it is also the WP:COMMONNAME now judging by existing sources on the article. If you are suggesting this move as part of your job, please see WP:PAYDISCLOSE and take a look at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. In the case of this request, it is necessary to show that the new title is the common name used to refer to the topic in most reliable sources, not just an official name. Disambiguate: Disambiguation is probably needed, since the hatnote shows there are two other places that may be referred to as "PNC Plaza" (Tower at PNC Plaza in Pittsburgh and PNC Plaza (Raleigh)). Independent reliable sources should be cited to justify a new name, or it could be moved to "PNC Plaza (Louisville)". The WDRB source linked above says it is "now called 500 West Jefferson". In several places it refers to "500 W Jefferson". The WDRB source does not use "500W" at all. The only place it uses "500 West" is in a quote from an owner-promoter. There is a paywall blocking the bizjournals.com article, so I don't know exactly what it says. The title shown on the building's official website is "500 West Jefferson Street, Louisville, Kentucky" (although there are a couple of places on that website that use "500W"). —⁠ ⁠BarrelProof (talk) 03:11, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but I'll give you only one out of four for those. The first one is not independent – I asked for independent reliable sources. The third one is also not independent – it is a commercial listing, and it also has a space before the "W". The fourth one is also not independent – again, it is a commercial listing advertisement, and it does not call the place "500W"! Move to 500 West Jefferson. That one calls it 500 West Jefferson, as used in the WDRB source and previously suggested by CX Zoom and 64.229.90.172. The current name is ambiguous. This is just another article. It is evident that PNC Plaza is no longer the name of the building, with numerous sources backing this up from the actual website to different news outlets.
